Germany
The Federal Republic of Germany (German: Bundesrepublik Deutschland) is the largest country in Central Europe. It is bordered to the north by Denmark, to the east by Poland and the Czech Republic, to the south by Austria and Switzerland, and to the west by France, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands. The largest exporter nation in the world, Germany is also home to the largest population in Europe, outside of Russia. While the foreigner's conception of Germany is that it is a homogenous state like most of its neighbors, it is actually, similarly to the USA, a federation of 16 states, each with a distinct and unique culture.
