Victoria Symphony Splash 2008

Every BC Day weekend, the Victoria Symphony mounts "Symphony Splash". This is a popular outdoor event, including a performance by the orchestra while on a barge on Victoria's Inner Harbour. Many of the streets in the local area are closed, as each year about 40,000 people attend a variety of concerts and events throughout the day. The event culminates with the Symphony's evening concert. The Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture is the work for the grand finale, replete with cannon-fire, a pealing carillon and a fireworks display to honour BC Day.

This year's Victoria Symphony Splash will be on August 3, 2008, and starts at 2pm
